3 o'clock= Fitting End To A Legendary Reign
With Pompey being LIVE on SKY Sports on tonight, it is a fitting way to end the reign of Pompey saviour Milan Mandaric.
As not all Pompey fans will be able to attend the game, myself included it is more than fitting that his farewell will take place in front of SKY`s television camera's giving most, if not all of us the chance to see Milan on his emotional farewell.
Milan's arrival in 1998 brought Pompey out of administration and saved the club destined for liquidation, along with it the possible thought of it being no more. Sure we would have reformed some how and started a rise from the ashes like a phoenix from the flames but thankfully, due in some small part thanks to former Yugoslav, now American national and former Pompey star Preki, who introduced Milan to Portsmouth Football Club, this wasn't needed to be.
The cameras will almost certainly focus in on Milan at every available moment, so for the game to be shown LIVE so we can all share in this emotional day is a fitting end to the Milan Mandaric reign, but not legacy, this will live on forever.
HOPEFULLY we can end his time with another win, which a clean sheet will almost certainly bring as we will score at least once for him. What a way for him to bow out, taking a team that had to sell its best players to survive, staring relegation from the Old Division One down both barrels to Top, that's TOP of the World's greatest League the Barclays Premiership.
Let's hope that Milan is true to his word and he
"Will always just be phone call away and will happily advise and help should the club need."
"I also hope to come back to matches as often as possible so in that sense it is no goodbye, but merely au revoir."
It will never be goodbye Milan, always merely au revoir, there's only one Milan…
