Battle of The Bungs

BATTLE OF THE BUNGS

If Panorama is anything to go, by whoever pays the referee the most today will come away with the points, however in the real world of football Pompey face Bolton at Fratton Park tonight looking to go top again, even more far-fetched in some people`s eyes!

Harry Redknapp has the rare luxury of being to pick from a virtually full squad again, this has surely been the foundation of this seasons current success. Also up for grabs is Chelsea`s clean sheets record of six consecutive games, who said our ex-England defence was past it.

Bolton have had a sketchy start, and players like Stelios, Faye and Davies all face late fitness tests tonight. Pompey can expect the usual barrage of long stuff, Anelka is likely to have a point to prove as well, he has yet to find his feet again in the premiership, but will want to show he picked the right team in Bolton over Pompey.

Tonight`s game is also Milan`s last at the club, so lets hope sentiment doesn`t get in the way of the desire to bag another three points towards Europe or simply staving off relegation a bit earlier this year! Either will be progress on seasons gone by.

So Pompey fans, tonight raise the roof and remind Milan why he bought our great club in the first place, and remind Sacha why he has taken over the reins.

Play up Pompey

The game does have a dire look about it, however lets give Milan a rousing send off and raise the roof at Fratton.

Pompey to win 2-0. Both from Kanu again to show all why he cant stop scoring now he's happy. as for bunging a bung at the ref... Shall we start the collection now? Also is it true that NO one gets in tonight unless they show their season ticket and also a brown envelope with Sam Alladyces name written on the front :-) Hee Hee

OH Well We lost but we were still firkin brilliant. Mnay years trundling home after a defeat, feeling deflated. But last night, we lost after playing by far, the best football. Very enthusiastic we will do superbly htis year, and with evry step forward we make, we take pleasure knowing its another bruse in scummers hearts and memories. PUP FOFF SCUMM
