Has Harry Been Caught?

Has Harry Been Caught?

Has Harry Been Caught?

After a fantastic result yesterday, Harry did two things. The first was to calm the fans expectations and secondly to slate the documentary being shown on Tuesday evening.

Bellow are comments by Harry Redknapp to the News of the World;

'I think they're trying to say they've caught me tapping up a player - but it's pathetic,'

'What really happened is that Todd's agent, Peter Harrison, asked me what I thought about the player,' he recalls.

'I said: 'I like Toddy. I'd have him in my team.'

'It was just a quick conversation, not of my making, and the sort of chat managers, directors and agents have all the time.

'If that's seen to be tapping up it's ridiculous, unreal.'

'I always try to help people if I can - so even though I was busy, I said I could spare him a few minutes,' said Redknapp.

'Now I wish I hadn't bothered.'

'I have never taken a bung in my life and never will. It can't happen these days,' he added.

'How can you take a payment like that, especially from a player's agent? These agents are so close to their players they tell them everything.

'How could you give a player a rollicking in training or during a match when he's got that on you?'

'... after all this nonsense that's been leaked out we will finally see what they've actually got,' he said.

'I promise you everyone will see they have nothing on me.'

Do you think that Harry will be found guilty? I believe that "Panorama" has speculative evidence against him but nothing set in stone.

Vital Pompey bought you the Kevin Bond rumour and that now looks a real possibility.

'arry is no angel but they've got nothing on him. As he says he is only doing what every other manager etc does all the time when he talks about players. We'll soon find out the whole (well maybe not whole!) truth...

according to some papers the Beeb have really watered down the program, viewers could be in for a bit of a disappointment. My mate in dockland media street still says they arent expecting anything substantial on our Arry.

With cr*p like this on the beeb, I should get a flamin' refund on my license. More left wing bollox, find an easy target & SWEEP AWAY THE REAL ISSUES.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL storagematt. I can understand you being upset and i can also understand that you think it's crap, but where oh where oh where did you get left wing from? Blimey mate, they are journo's FFS!! Or do you think it's a plot by the evil trotsky's in 'old' labour left, who think, by uncovering a bung plot in the premiership will lead to the government resigning ad hoc?

Nothing is going to come of it. I think it's time to give Harry the keys to the city or a Butlins timeshare or something.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
