Fernandes on his Past and his Pompey
Fernandes has said that he moved to Pompey because he was ambitious but claimed that he has nothing against Benfica.
"On the one hand I felt sad to leave Benfica, which is the club in my heart, and where I had been for 12 years, but on the other hand I was happy to begin an adventure in England and to now start not just a new chapter in my career but also new, exciting and tempting challenges," Fernandes told Gestifute.com.
"I have nothing against Benfica. Everyone at the club was impeccable."
"It is true that I played with an injury, but these things happen, there`s nothing to say about that. Now I want to wish all the luck in the world to my ex-colleagues, tell them that I am right behind them, and that I hope Benfica win every competition they`re playing in."

I'm glad he's wanting to learn his trade with Pompey - he'll have to play well to get into our great midfield as I think Davis and Mendes are playing really well at the moment together....
