Rocha returns!

Rocha returns!

The mooted return to Fratton of Rocha John Rocha has come off.

His return has officially been confirmed on The Pompey Site, with him saying: 'I'm delighted to be back at Pompey and to have the chance to help out Guy and this great club.

'I can't wait to get out on the pitch again and play in front of the fantastic supporters at Fratton Park.'

I would imagine, even though it is an initial one-month deal, the 33-year-old is back for the remainder of the season.

Perhaps he is not as mobile as he once was and perhaps he does not have the pace but when you have the ability to read the game as he does that can make a huge difference. He is also very calm and composed on the ball, which will also help us.

With Watford recalling Carl Dickinson, who was suspended for what would have been his final game tomorrow anyway - it 'seems' they have done us a favour by ending this loan early - that left a space open in the squad so RJR is eligible to play tomorrow.

Well, assuming the FA give him clearance...

I am more than happy to have him back, and I do not think he should have been released anyway.

The fact that he has returned now must mean that it was not entirely a financially based decision to release him in the summer?

The defender we have miss just one thing - organisation. Ricardo will give them that and maybe we can cut out the stupid goals we give away every game. Who will ever forget his performance at Wembley when the Spuds were buried? Was taling to a 10 year old at the week-end who was at Wembley that day and he is so excited ar RRs return. He is also going to be a shareholder thanks to his father.

Hartlepool (a) - Safety first!

A win at Wimbledon made sure of a play-offs place. Technically we can finish in the top 3 but this would require an unlikely set of results from too many clubs wouldn't it?
