No loan renewal for Dickinson

No loan renewal for Dickinson

The loan return to Pompey of Carl Dickinson back along was a 'surprise' to many.

With all due respect to the guy whilst you will always get a 100% committed player we were also getting somewhat of a liability...

And this was proved to be the case as in 5 games he picked up 5 booking and this means he cannot feature against Orient tomorrow, which mean what is officially the final game of his month-long loan will have to be missed.

No official word has been spoken but Dicko himself has taken to Twitter to confirm his loan will not be extended: 'big thanks to the Pompey fans. Enjoyed my time again, all the best for the rest of the season.'

This means, almost certainly, that once his loan officially ends tomorrow Rocha John Rocha will make his Pompey return and 'could' make his 3rd Pompey debut at the weekend when we get sent to Coventry...

From what I saw of him on the telly he had no poise and was a rusher .Certainly no footballer with skills that were worth keeping. Rocha now that is a different kettle of fish !

Headlees chicken I think best sums him up. He lost it again on Saturday and Guy took him off straight away. Rocha will be welcomed back by ALL fans.

Loose cannon yes but if you put his attitude into the rest of the squad we'd be top six.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

On this day in history...26th June

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 26th June.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
