Harry: 'Huge Dilemma'

Harry Redknapp has a selection problem for the rest of the season;

'It is a huge dilemma who to pick - even without the new lads,' said Redknapp. 'But it is just the situation I have always wanted here.

'It is always difficult to change a team after a 4-0 win but I've got to select a side to beat Wigan because that is the job I am paid for.

'Glen Johnson has made a fantastic recovery. His injury looked nasty at first but it has turned out to be strained ligaments and bone bruising. The problem is that Noe Pamarot was outstanding in his place.

'But I'm desperate to field the best side I can against Wigan and keep our run going."

Harry Redknapp has warned fans to keep their feet on the ground;

"Talking about being top of the Premiership is not what I want to do at this stage. It has been a great start but there are still 35 tough games to go and Wigan is one of them."

'Any team in the Premiership can go on an horrendous run and slip down the table. You have to keep your feet on the ground.'

Doesn't it make a pleasant change from the usual 'down to the bare bones' type comments that we used to get!

Great position to be in. Competition for places on the bench, let alone on the pitch. Interesting to see the moaners & those who will knuckle down & get on with it.

It will indeed, good point storagematt, although im not too sure that we have that many moaners anymore, i think the only one of note was LuaLua and even then the club accepted he was on a relatively poor deal. No game is easy but Wigan are the ideal opponents to get back into the winning habit against.Im really looking forward to saturday, & i reckon MOTD

It's a great position to be in isn't it, how often over the years have we genuinely had quality that maybe wouldn't have been able to get into the team...

Hope there is a spot available for Pedro Mendes and that he plays a blinder and absolutly no reason why you shouldn't pick up another 3 points. What was it last season 23 odd games for 15 points? Could have them after 6 or 7 games this time around.

Harry's selection dilemma is just like choosing which chocolate you want. Whether it's BLACK MAGIC and we come up ROSES or we pump it into the oppositions DAIRY BOX time will tell. Either way he won't be SOFT CENTRED or a HARD NUT as long as he has a good RAISIN for choices.

The midfield has so many great options - I wonder if Harry will tinker, or simply play the best midfield regularly????

I agree with StuartM he will probably tinker with it!

Lots of choice, and lots for each player to play for. Times are changing. Times are good.

I hope he doesn't tinker with the line up he put out against Boro " If it ain't broke, don't fix it " as the adage goes. Looking forward to seein Douala on as a sub though. Play up Pompey & Go Spurs ! first place on Monday morning with no goals yet conceded would be a real treat.
