There for the home game in 1985, 1988, 1996 & 2002. Though the 4-1 win away at relegation rivals Sunderland sticks in my memory. Matt Taylor goal form just inside there area that flew over their keeper. A rare win for manager Reggie Perrin.

Third time lucky? Nope as O'Shea interest ends

O'Shea saw a couple of bids for him put in; these were turned down by Chesterfield. A third bid hasn't come from Pompey and it isn't going to either.

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.
