The game I will always remember was in 1980 and the trip to Liverpool - what a night 15,000 Pompey fans shok Anfield to the foundations and the team did well and were far from embarassed depite the scoreline.

Yes Dave, I was there with my little brother who was celebrating his 11th birthday & I was big 14. Fantastic day that will stick in the memory for ever. There for the home games in 1989,1995, 2000 & 2006.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
