There in 1986 as we beat WBA 2-1 with 2 goals from the flying Vince. Also in 2003, our debut prem season, with a few friends went up to Newcastle & we got stuffed 3-0, we were absolutely pathetic. We sat nearer to God than the players. Spent a lot of money on a long weekend & ended up with food poisoning. Not a match or a few days to remember.

Third time lucky? Nope as O'Shea interest ends

O'Shea saw a couple of bids for him put in; these were turned down by Chesterfield. A third bid hasn't come from Pompey and it isn't going to either.

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.
