LuaLua Misses Mate Toddy

Lomana LuaLua, who is back in training following his ankle injury picked up in the pre-season game with Oxford United, has spoken of his shock and sadness at the loss of team mate Svetoslav Todorov, following the Bulgarians loan move to Wigan.

In a surprise last minute deadline day swoop Wigan Manager Paul Jewell signed Toddy on loan until the end of the year, which could become permanent if all parties are happy when the transfer window reopens in January. LuaLua (much like myself) was very surprised.

"I didn't even know about Toddy going - I think only the manager knew about it."

"He's still in the Premier League but I'm sure he'll be gutted about leaving."

"For me, personally, I've seen him in training, he's a very nice guy and I think he's the best finisher here. I'm not supposed to say that as a striker but I think that Toddy's a killer in front of goal," LuaLua said when speaking in the Portsmouth News.

After a great start to the season which we will hopefully build upon, ironically sees us play Wigan on Saturday, although under the terms of loan agreements Toddy won't play, LuaLua thinks European qualification is very much possible "I really believe we can get into Europe. We are aiming high and I think it will be a big season for us."

For me, personally, I have seen him in training... What about in a real game? Sounds like something missing there.
WheresLes?
In all fairness to Toddy he can't perform if injured can he? 30 odd goals in 70 odd games isn't a bad return is it...

I've always felt Toddy blow's hot and cold, you couldn't always rely on him to put away the easy ones but he often made up for that later. i wqould really like to know the truth about why he's gone but i'm more inclined to believe Toddy than Harry. Not sure why? lol

A shame Toddys gone but as we trusted HR on Kanu, let's trust him on this one.

I love 'arry to bits but as Steve C says I'd be more likely to believe Toddy's side of the story as opposed to the wily old fox that is Harry Redknapp, but at the same time as storagematt says you have to put trust in him as he doesn't often let us down, with at least one MASSIVE exception...

DONT START ME ON GRIFFIN AGAIN I WARN YOU !!!

As 5th choice striker, how many games would Toddy have played for us this season ???
StuartM
He may not have played a lot of games but the thought of him and Cole coming on would have frightened some teams I'm sure...

He's gone, so lets move on and concentrate on what we've got.
