Pompey Trust are preferred bidder

In a press release issued earlier today Trevor Birch, PKF partner and joint administrator of Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Ltd, said:
"After extensive discussions over the past few weeks, we have today nominated Portsmouth Supporters Trust as the preferred bidder for Portsmouth Football Club. We will be working with the Trust, the Football League and the Professional Footballers Association to conclude the sale of the Club as soon as possible."

Iain McInnes, proposed Chairman of Portsmouth FC under the PST bid, said: 'We are energised that our bid, by the fans and for the fans, has been preferred by the club's administrators.

'Although there remains a huge amount of work to be done to ensure the right outcome for the club, we are confident we will succeed.
'We believe our bid is realistic and credible, which is a view shared by the administrator.

This is the news most fans were waiting for and we have now to be positive and ensure that what begun as a pipedream can in the next few weeks become a reality. It means that those who have pledged money come forward and that others that have thought about it make up their minds quickly.

The Trust CAN run Portsmouth Football Club. They have shown that by the professional manner they have gone about putting the bid together and involved the City Council, Member of Parliament and local businesses.

They will appoint professionals to run the club within their own business plan and not try and treat it as a new toy.
It is time now to stand up and be counted!!

PUP and trust in the Trust!!

Well I'm still worried about it, the finance source is not clear but if they succeed then the discussion has to move on. Although if they fail or fall out you can be sure it will open again. How does Farmery fit in and isn't there a conflict of interest with his Pompey Fans site?

movement at last, 3 steps foward, will it be 2 back, or 4. Good luck to the PST.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
