MOTM v MK Dons

The votes had been cast; these numbers toted up with it decided among the Vital Pompey fraternity that Gabor Gyepes was the man of the match against MK Dons.

The way we started that game last weekend we could have potentially seen god knows how many people as candidates for this award, although I would say that the top three are pretty much the three that stood out most of all.

In that particular order; well maybe just about too as well to be honest...

I think that Gyepes named as MOTM was the right call, I praised him shortly after the game with a bit of an analysis and I stick by this with the guy growing in stature all the time - at least in the league games that I have seen.

I must say that I think Izale McLeod put in his best shift since he arrived, again from the games I have seen, with him working hard and putting in maximum effort - not always something you can say about his game! Lets just hope that was not the case as it was his old team eh!

Also, I think that Johnny Ertl again needs some praise. He had a 'difficult' debut some weeks back but with his first involvement since coming as a sub against Scunthorpe recently he has looked the part in a defensive midfield role since. His presence has definitely made a difference to our midfield shape, and strength.

Can't remember if I voted but I would've gone with 1, or 2, very impressed with Jeepers eye for goal but also I would have to consider Mc "C"'s as a player of the month because of his goals but more importantly his positive reaction to work rate criticism.
