Pompey predictions league update #10

The Pompey predictions league continued in midweek with Pompey travelling to Yeovil.

In the first ever competitive meeting with the team from Somerset it is Pompey that came away with the points, a second successive win means that we are now officially in positive points and not negative, remembering we have to take off 10pts at some stage during the season!

Three people collected a maximum of 20pts by correctly predicting a 2-1 win, they were paultsmouth - for a second successive game, moley2, and Jimsmithswig.

With another perfect prediction paultsmouth not only retains top spot for a 2nd game running, his 20pts takes his total to 70pts overall and extends his lead at the top.

PompeyFcMad climbs back up to 2nd ahead of jsander48 and PFCblue with the 20pts apiece from moley2 and Jimsmithswig allowing them to climb to 7th and 8th respectively.

This is how the table, of over 35 at present, currently stands:

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
