Three in a row?

Unfortunately the 'off-the-field' crap continues to dominate much of what is going on with Portsmouth Football Club, like it or not sadly this is where we are as a club these days...

Everything revolves around this but what a change it has been to see us go through a week that has seen us remain unbeaten and collect back-to-back wins during this period heading into our visit to Milton Keynes tomorrow as we look to end a pretty good 7-days.

A win itself has become pretty rare for Pompey, collecting back-to-back wins almost unheard of, three on the spin is a bloody collectors item!

Few, I would guess, will be able to say that they were at games where Pompey won three in a row in recent times, a couple like what we have just seen would be stretching it for most...

I really cannot remember the last time we won three games in a row; can you?

Towards the start of Appy's time we did go on a bit of an unbeaten run but I do not think we ever managed to win three on the spin did we?

We would surely have to go back to Steve Cotterill's time a couple of years back, as didn't we keep something like 5 or 6 cleansheets in a row that also saw us win a good few of these?

In all honesty, and no I am not being defeatists, if we come away from The stadium:mk with a win I will be pretty surprised, almost amazed - give me a point now and I will bite your arm off as I reckon that MK Dons are one of the best, if not the best, footballing sides in this division.

If we can keep it tight, and go in level at half time, you never know but 'if' we concede and early goal, like we so often do, we could be in for a really, really long afternoon...
