Email For Lua, Wednesday, Help!

An email to the Premier League will be sent on Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who has sent me their message but we need more...

Lua Lua has been told he cannot where his son`s initials on the back of his shirt next season. The premier league has refused this request;

'I am gutted. This season is for Jesus and I thought it would be a nice way of helping his memory live on.

'I asked the club to contact the Premier League.

'The secretary came back and told me they would not allow me to have my son`s initial on the back of my shirt.

'I could not believe it. I did not want his whole name on the shirt — just his initial and I do not
see what harm that would do.

'I am still struggling to come to terms with losing Jesus and have not even been able to bring myself to visit his grave.

'My family keep on telling me I should throw all his toys away but I cannot do it.'

I have an email address of someone high up at the Premier League, after I did some work for them. Send me your emails pleading with them to allow Lua Lua to wear his sons initials on the back of his shirt and I will send them to the Premier League.

If they do it for Lua Lua, they will get others asking maybe on a different theme. They won't grant it. It will set a precident.

Have you thought of maybe contacting the people at the Football League Club Vital members to see if they will ask their members on their forums to email you?

The premier league have said no, and if you read the rest of the article he says he's gonna get his boys name stitched into his boots. So no problem. He's got his wish to bring his sons name onto the pitch.

But he wants it on his shirt, let him have what he wants! It's for his son!

Just let the guy have it on his shirt!!! Do the premierleague show no sympathy??? He's just lost his son and they say no!!! I could understand them saying no if he'd asked for all the members of the premierleague to wear his sons initials on their shirts, but seriously i cant believe the premierleague gave him the cold shoulder!!! Disgusting! As a arsenal supporter i urge everyone to complain!!!

He hasn't JUST lost his son, it was 8 months ago. I've a great deal of sympathy for the bloke over this issue, but he's gonna have it stitched into his boots. So what's the problem?
03/09/2006 20:46:00
i think he should be aloud to have it on his shirt if he wants it!
03/09/2006 20:49:00
You tell me FEn_100! Coz i don't have a clue
03/09/2006 20:49:00
its hardly asking a lot to have it stitched into his shirt is it? whats the problem with the premier league? he should just do it and wait for the consequences. the bad press that will come the way of the premier league will mean they will have to step down.

No retirement plans

Doyle might have turned 35 recently, which in reality means he's in the final throws of his playing career, but he's not ready to call it a day with Pompey (or otherwise) anytime soon.

On this day in history...20th October

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 20th October.

Linganzi presence needed

I've liked Rose since he signed in the summer but perhaps the former Oxford midfielder lacks the physicality Pompey sometimes need, which is why Linganzi has come in of late.

Pompey 'sent a message' at Plymouth

I'm still not completely sure if we should see Plymouth as 'two-points dropped?' Although I'm learning towards it being a result Pompey will be happier with than our hosts.
