MOTM v Crawley

MOTM v Crawley

The votes had been cast; these numbers toted up with it decided among the Vital Pompey fraternity that Luke Rodgers was the man of the match against Crawley.

When Rodgers first arrived, if I am honest, I was not 'sure' about him but I think the guy has done really well. He works tirelessly for the side and gets himself into decent positions - his strike against Bournemouth in the Paint Pot Trophy recently showed a bit of class.

He will not score 'a hat full' but again his freekick goal against Crawley last Sunday showed the quality that he possesses.

With continued performances like he has so far this season we would not go far wrong with Rodgers in the side, he will work well for the team and chip in with goals - definitely worth of the man of the match award at Broadfield last weekend...

Beneficial for all concerned

Four defeats in five came to an end at the weekend as Pompey won at Oldham. Victory was great, but the decision to drop Christian Burgess was a main talking point ahead of this game.
