'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is it really that hard?!

The present situation that Pompey are faced with, with the latest 'interest' in taking over, is so typical of the farce that was previously SAF! If this bid is not him then it is someone that has gone to the same school of business, and how not to conduct it, as he did!

He said that Thursday was the day that we should 'expect an announcement'.

What announcement is that, the one that his bid is not going to go through as 'proof of funds' are still not being seen...

I continue to ask myself the question 'what is the appeal' to any genuine buyer (again I say bar Chainrai, who clearly wants his money back, or the fans, who clearly want a club - so there are varying reasons for these two to want the club to live on, for a while at least in the case of one bidder!) but if there is an interest is it really that hard to 'prove' that you have funds available?

It is 'put up or shut up' time for SAF and his Middle East bidders, if they are not ready to prove their funding then Trevor Birch has to tell them to 'op it!

Speaking of Birch it is long past the time when he has to make his decision!!

The deadline this weekend needs to be stuck to - he either accepts one of the bids and gets the best for the creditors (after all that is his duty), even if it is one that we as fans might want, or he calls time on the situation...

The longer this drags on the more apparent it becomes that there are enough funds in the Pompey bank account for us to trundle along longer and longer - and I am near certain we have virtually enough to see us through the season you know!

At the same time, the longer a resolution takes, the more Birch and his administrative friends are draining this away without this resolution. It then becomes less and less fair on the creditors that are owed money; that is putting aside what is fair to us fans...

With that in mind the more restless these creditors become and then they may well, quite rightly, start thinking 'hang on, if there is so much money in the bank account then why are we only being offered pittance! Pittance that a resolution towards getting is taking longer and longer for me to get anyway!!'

I will not be holding my breath that SAF, or his cronies, will be proving anything today, tomorrow or in the days to come then again - as previously said this week - I also expect Birch to make no further decision this week either, despite deadline number whatever it is looming...

although I don't dislike the bloke, his business skills are a total joke you have to wonder what the other members of the consortium if there is one which i very much doubt think of him. the only thing i can think of is he loves the exposure in the press this gives him, maybe it helps him back home in some way, still i don't think anybody really takes him seriously, maybe he just wants his 5 million back. lol

if the club can 'trundle on' then let TB take his time. I dont want BC & not sure PST have the funds. As long as TB liquidates the club in time for AFCPompey to sart 2013/14 somewhere then give it as much time as it needs. Of course in the ideal world we are taken over tomorrow & the club marches onwards & upwards but we all know that aint gonna happen.
