'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No future? Why the new coaches then!

Whilst I appreciate that Pompey have to continue to try to operate as a 'fully functioning' club many of the moves being made do leave you thinking will we really be liquidated, as has so often been the case?

The latest moves made, with a long-term vision in mind, are to bring in several new academy appointments with the return to the club of a couple of former Pompey personalities.

Lee Bradbury has returned to Fratton, for the first time in a coaching capacity, to coach the U14 side with Mark Chamberlain coming back to work with the U13's.

I wonder if Bradbury will be able to pull on his boots again and play for us once more!

If Chamberlain has any more kids then signing them up could eventually see us profit to the tune of several millions as Scum did Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as he eventually came through their youth ranks as we all know.

Mark Kelly, currently an academy coach, will now also act as head of academy recruitment.

Another arrival is Michael Harris as U12 coach and finally Adrian Cooke will act as the strength and conditioning coach for the academy.

All positive moves and all moves made with, all being well, the best interests of our long-term future in mind.

This again begs the question that if we really are not going to have a future why are so many actions, such as these, with that in mind being made - another example is the recent new long-term agreement for coverage of Pompey games with Radio Solent...

Someone must be putting the money up or surely the FL would query it-especially a kids coach

we took Chris kamara from the Navy, Bradders and Gut Whittingham from the Army, apart from the obvious war time and post war recruits/National service types..have we any taken any other players straight from the services..I am sure i am forgetting somebody.
