Darel Russell comes in

Darel Russell comes in

A signing, which means something to me in a way, has been confirmed by Pompey this afternoon.

Darel Russell has come in on a 1-month deal with Appy, as he told The Pompey Site, saying: 'Darel's a combative midfield player with an aggressive touch.

'He's been promoted out of this league with Norwich and Charlton, so knows what it takes to win games at this level.'

The midfielder was with Preston last season, but ended it with league one champions Charlton on loan, but has been a free agent following his release.

Darel Russell's signing has, like I say, some meaning for me personally as his names are the Christian names for both my brother and I, and strangely enough I found an old autographed card signed by him back in May that I decided to keep due to this name!

And now he is a Pompey player, for the next month at least...

Match highlights - Pompey 0-1 Orient

Disappointing as it was, you take the rough with the smooth and cannot gloss over things when they aren't so good so here goes with the 1-0 defeat Pompey suffered against Orient.

Simply not good enough!

Call me a moaner, call me a groaner but if you think the performance against Orient was good enough then I think you're wearing blue tinted specs as that was poor from Pompey.
