Ertl and Russell to sign

A 'double swoop' is going to be pulled off by Pompey before the transfer deadline closes, well so say The News anyway...

They report that Appy has been able to 'eke out' some more funds to finance month-long deals, initially, for a couple of free agents?

These arrivals will be former Sheffield United defender Johnny Ertl, who can play at fullback or central defence and in midfield - he was released in the summer - and another free agent Darel Russell.

Midfielder Russell, formerly with Norwich and Stoke - among others - was released by Charlton over the summer and was lined-up to sign for Stevenage, having been on trial with them but will instead pen a month-long contract with Pompey.

Apparently both, and potentially a loan arrival, will be brought in and will be available for the weekend game at Fratton against Oldham.

As these guys are free agents they would not have needed to be signed up before the deadline window tomorrow anyway, if they even are...

So sorry to see Magri leaving.... I wonder if we'll regret this move shortly!
