Magri off to QPR

Magri off to QPR

Last season it looked like Sam Magri was on his way out of Pompey with a move to Liverpool lined up.

That did not come off...

Given the mass exodus of players over the summer many would have hoped, if not expected, him to have been a regular in the squad this season.

That too has not come off...

Magri is now, according to The News, 'poised to complete a move to QPR' and is with them to finalise his switch.

Obviously it is disappointing that he has not been given the chance to play for Pompey - he did make one appearance though in the league cup earlier this season - but you cannot begrudge him a move to the premier league.

This will give extra money to the coffers for us and hopefully a 'sell on clause' will be included to our benefit down the line...

My Nephew knows Magri extremely well and he's guessing the player was sold off to cover the gap between the bidders and what TB had original signed up to before his compromise agreements with the players. We had thought the player might choose to stay and prove himself and increase his self value and to that of the club - ho hum - all in a Pompey day

Roberts opens up

In fairness when Gary Roberts - obviously now at Wigan - says Kenny Jackett showed 'a lack of respect' towards him in the final weeks of his Pompey career it's hard to disagree.

Next in (the firing) line

Of course, Huddersfield loanee Holmes-Dennis is out for the season after suffering ligament damage now - having initially had to sit behind Haunstrup - McCrory has a twisted knee.
