I was there in 1987 as our long awaited time in the top flight had arrived. We were lambs to the slaughter as the mighty Arsenal hit us for 6!!!!!!

Malcolm Shotton does not take all the blame then Matt? He made his Pompey debut that day replacing the absent injured Noel Blake - what a bad mistake that was Bally!!

Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.

Liverpool goalie keen on Pompey return

Will he get this chance though? I think we could quite safely say he'll not be in the Liverpool 1st team next season and Pompey want a goalie so could this be Ryan Fulton...
