Mendes to Resume Training

Pedro Mendes should today be told he can resume training agian.

Mendes had tests which revealed that he hasn't got any long term damage.

The player can consider himself lucky after a nasty Thatcher flying elbow, left Mendes cold out.

Thatcher has been given a six week ban and has been charged six weeks wages.

good news about mendes, lets hope he's back in time for the Wigan game!
Westov
No need for that Terence. Good news about Pedro, can't keep a good man down!

Just read an article that we're one of the favourites to sign Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. What a signing them two would be, argentine internationals, one's a great goalscoring striker and the other is a defensive minded midfielder with alot of gials in him aswell. So come on Harry, ppush it out and open the check book to sign those two gems!
Westov
They are both going to West Ham! you read that on Tribal Football? It is the worst website in the world lol

great news for mendes, delighted for the guy. Im just a bit surprised because my understanding yesterday was the club said he would be assesed early next week. Puttin 2 + 2 together and coming upwith 5.134259 and then putting my pessimist look a like head on are we sure the club is not saying mid field wise thats your lot until january. As for West ham getting into Europe, to do that they will have to beat the likes of Pompey, Spurs & now Villa home and away to do that. Are we accepting that will happen.

Welcome back Pedro,

A Man City mate of mine SMX me by saying that Thatcher is a disgrace and should never put on the Light Blue jersey anymore. I for one won't hold the episode against his club, but will not forgive him for his premeditated action which let's face it could have killed or maimed Pedro for life. Did he do it in spite for the fact that Pedro rifled in that winner to kick start our comeback, against City ?
pompeygray
Glad to see Mendes will be back soon - and now we are going to have some competition in midfield! I hope the new signings will get used as subs for the next 2 months while they find their feet - we don't want two months for them to acclimatize like January and February last year!

Its great news. I think Thatcher got of easy with that. I know that ManC have acted, but is the FA still planning on getting involved. He should be given a final warning. If this sort of behaviour happens again then he is suspended for a season. Its only fair as his stupidity could put another player out for a whole season.
POMPEYMEV
Glad to see him back. He's shown real character and restraint in not slagging Thatcher off.
ValsPal
Glad Mendes is back, he'll add that little extra to the midfield again. Thatcher may have got off lightly but he's caused his own long term damage hasn't he...
pompeyrug
good on him hope he's okay now after that shocking tackle by thatcher
green giant 12
good luck to pedro for the rest of the season
