Eastwood signs 'non-contract' terms

To play a game of football you need at least 11 players, you most definitely need a keeper!

Well Pompey now have one of these after Simon Eastwood arrived today...

Although this is only on 'non-contract' terms so he could leave the club at any time as Appy, as he told The Pompey Site, is well aware but hopes to bring him in permanently: 'obviously we need a goalkeeper and Simon has been playing in the pre-season games for us.

'It's on a non-contract basis, so it could be ripped up at any time, but hopefully in the future we'll be looking at giving him a contract.'

Speaking of Appy he has branded the news that his budget will be slashed from 4m to 1.5m 'unprofessional'...

As already said today I think a budget of 4m for the playing side of things is too much at league one level but if he was told this is what it was going to be to then cut this by more than 50% is another kick for him while he is already down! A definite sign of things to come under Portpin though...

One (for now at least!) down, only another ten (at least) to go!

In theory could we not have signed other players on non-contract terms for the game tomorrow then, maybe we have?

PLAY UP POMPEY!
