Dumbuya wants in

Given the continued uncertainty surrounding Pompey - although I am slightly more confident we will beat liquidation now, I would say I have slipped to 55:45 that liquidation will happen - you could understand players deciding not to extend trials with the club, right?

While some have been given the boot, or decided to move on voluntarily, one has decided that he will 'honour his word' and sign for Pompey once the green light is given by the football league 'if' liquidation is avoided...

This man is Mustapha Dumbuya.

In a refreshing change the former Doncaster man has said that he will honour his word given to Appy that he will sign.

From the offset he was made aware of the score with Appy making it clear that it would be a 'waiting game' and he had to be 'patient' but he also knows that this would be worth showing the patience for if he can sign.

I have only seen glimpses of him during pre-season but from what I have seen I have this attack minded defender, who loves to bomb forward, is one I have really liked so if we do avoid liquidation and if the deal is right for us he is the type of player I think we should be looking to sign.

begs the question why? is it super MA's charisma, and honesty. Is it because he knows we will be bought and will then be one of the biggest clubs in the division. or is he so bad there is no other offers on the table..

think its fair to beg that question graham, as it does make you wonder why in many ways?
i am not sure what the answer is, i would like to think that it is plenty to do with Appy tho and suspect it is...
