The TBH view, while Varney moves on

The TBH view, while Varney moves on

There are two sides to every story, right?

Well Tal Ben-Haim has, talking to sky sports, put across his following further damning comments by Trevor Birch in the Independent about the Israeli international.

Whilst, lets make no bones about it, the likes of TBH may well not be 'helping' the club in some ways - or so it seems - he has pointed out that Birch is on a VERY good fee as an administrator so why is this not questioned?

He feels that maybe his fee should also be cut if the players are continually asked to take cuts: 'I've lost a lot of money, but it's not about the figures. It's over £2.5m net but I'm prepared to lose more, I'm prepared to help the club and lose more money.

'On the other hand, the administrator's fee is not less than what I earn. Nobody talks about that, so I prefer to lose more but he has to cut his fees as well.'

TBH has also questioned Birch's constant criticism of people in the media...

He is claiming that not enough talk face-to-face with the players is actually taking place: 'I can say when it went to administration we sat with the administrator, and in five to 10 minutes we had a deal.

'We agreed everything, Trevor spoke with us but then he disappeared for two months, so it's not our fault.

'He forgot that you have to negotiate with the players and not with the press. The press are not going to sign a compromise, they have to sit with us and tell us the figures exactly.'

So, perhaps Birch needs to be spending more time actually talking in person to the players in question perhaps?

Best thing of all would be if people started to actually play things out in private and not publicly and get deals done that need doing eh!

Better news though, another body is 'close' to leaving Fratton though!

Leeds have officially announced that a two-year deal has been agreed with Luke Varney to join them.

He will join his former Pompey teammates Jason Pearce, who signed some weeks back, and Jamie Ashdown, who has just signed for them following his release.

Lets just hope, that like them, PFC will still have football to play this season...

TBH has played a smart card there in my opinion re TB's fees. It certainly ain't monopoly money the administrators are being paid. As for playing this out via the media... well that's a no brainer. TBH has obviously been stung by the criticism emanating from TB via the media, doesn't sound to me as if he's going to be influenced by it. This has turned into a farce... he who blinks first.

I'm beginning to wish andy the Greek was running things, with a few of the players claiming birch isn't talking to them, I do wonder who birch is working for, we're not very liked within the officials in the game. I just don't get why these players don't know what's going on

Simple then, all Trevor has to do TODAY is sit down with TBH & sort it out. No brainer really.

As I have said many times before - Birch is not great. He takes forever to do anything and has a habit of saying what he thinks we want to hear. Can't stand the chap and I dont think he has PFC at heart.

They're all leeches. How much did Admin Andy make out of our troubles?? On the one hand they claim their aim is to save the club, on the other their aim is to make as much money for themselves as they can!!!

Seems I owe TB a big apology. In response to TBH's claim TB said "What nonsense. We have had authority from the creditors for £425,000 but to keep the club alive we have taken just £200,000 for six months work. Our costs are more than £1 million, which we will never recover." Sorry TB

Vital Pre-Match - League 2, 1st October

The 2016-17 season continues with the latest round of matches this weekend, which will see us among those having a match in this upcoming schedule with three-points the aim of course.

Tollitt still has a Pompey chance

Well, according to Cook. He's insisting Tollitt, the former Everton academy player who had returned to Merseyside to join Tranmere on loan, can still return to Pompey.

Pompey win and lose collectively

As such Cook doesn't want the fans to start turning on individual players, which has been the case with Bennett with Smith not exactly viewed as a 'fans' favourite' either.
