Mullins bonus!

Mullins bonus!

No disrespect, or offence, meant but if Hayden Mullins were to leave Pompey in the next day or so, if not today, then this would be a very welcome bonus.

Reading were on the face of it unwilling to make his loan from last season permanent, so it looked like we would be stuck with him - if that is the right choice of words! - for the remaining 12-months of his contract?

Alas, maybe not...

Birmingham could prove our saviours as they are 'believed' to be in talks with him today about signing him on a free transfer with a medical having taken place.

A deal has been agreed, according to The News, with Mullins to 'cancel the final year of his contract' so he can join Brum on this free.

Lets just hope that terms can be agreed so this deal can go through, a transfer fee would have been welcome in an ideal world, but getting his wages - I would guess that stand at anything from £20,000 (minimum) to £30,000 - off the weekly and monthly wage bill is arguably worth even more!

Again, assuming this move goes ahead and is done under the terms reported, then perhaps others will take note and follow in Hayden's example and stop messing around with 'pay-offs' and mutually agree a compromise that benefits everyone eh!

Although I would not hold my breath, but at least this is a start...

I just saw that Muggins is just off to Birmingham. Good old Hayden, that's the best way for players to support this club. I like Muggins; good player. Kanu, on the other hand (News article) is plainly proving what a complete tw*t he has always been. Lets go to court. Disrespectful, my @rse.

More positive news along with Gaydamaks land ownership business going into Admin. Not sure if it will be enough to allow incoming players yet. Think Kanu is kind of forgetting he has been paid for doing nothing much for the last two years.

I assume he is still entitled to his deferred salary; or has he waived that too?

Respect.... I'll second Et_tu's comment above. Thanks Hayden, if this really does go to the wire you just don't know how important this move to Brum may prove to be....
