Interest in Chuck and Varney growing?

Interest in Chuck and Varney growing?

The need for players to leave intensifies by the day really and, for me, the closer we get to July the 'more likely' we will see a few more leave.

Monster earners leaving though, well I am not so sure, in fact I would be amazed if they did but you never know...

Whilst Luke Varney and Chuck are not our highest earners I suspect both rank pretty high on the list of those that do actually bring in the most cash each week, as such the need for them to go is quite an urgent one.

Interest in both remains and one, or both, could be off to Leeds according to The Yorkshire Post who say that they have 'renewed their interest' in the Pompey pair?

Leeds tried signing Varney back in January by all accounts and 'rumoured' interest in Chuck has been around for a while.

With Sheffield Wednesday apparently 'opening talks' with Chuck about a move to Hillsborough Leeds 'might' need to move quickly if they want to avoid missing out on him...

A 'bidding war' for Chuck will not develop but hopefully if clubs know others are also looking at the same player a move can happen sooner, rather than later.

With Varney quite vocal the other week about 'wanting to help out the club' then maybe he will move on, although he will only 'help out' - like most others - if he can have some assurances over previous monies owing to him.

Sadly there lies one of the numerous stumbling blocks that we have with almost any departure at the moment...

Nevertheless, like I say, I reckon that in the next week or so we will see a few more start to gradually slink out the Fratton exit.
