Chuck and Varney to join Pearce?

I think that when, and not if, we see Chuck and Luke Varney go the same way as Jason Pearce (through the exit gates) we will not be surprised, right?

These two are almost certain to leave Fratton this summer, I know which one I would be much happier to see leave and would not miss half as much though!

Although seeing both leave to join Pearce at Leeds would be a surprise really...

Well, according to reports in The Yorkshire Evening Post, both moving to Elland Road is something that could well happen?

It is very much 'needs must' at the moment so if one, or both, do end up going off to Leeds then I guess we have to take a 'so be it' approach really, and the sooner this happens really the better...

The next player that is 'likely' to move on though is believed to be Joel Ward.

'5 or 6 clubs' are interested in signing the Pompey utility man so he is not short of options, lets just hope - again as much as he is one I would love us to keep - that we can get a bidding war going and get the best possible price for him, and get this done sooner rather than later.

Our continued problem is that with the need for money so great the chances are we will not get anything like true valuations on players, especially if the buying clubs agree to pay the entire transfer fee up front...

We have been linked with Varney, Halford, Norris and Ward.

It seems we've done nothing but see good players out the exit door for the last 3 years. You'd think we'd be used to it, but when they come out with comments like Pearce did, its heartbreaking. Good luck Pearcey, you'll always be a Pompey boy - all i ask is if you score against us don't celebrate, and more importantly, never never ever become a scummer.
