'If It's Football, It's Vital'

So Pompey does have a 'long-term' then?

We have constantly been told that 'the money will run out' this summer, and also told that it is '50:50' that the club is not going to be liquidated.

It would be foolish to even attempt to say that it is 100% certain we will not be liquidated but I think we could say that there is a, as I see it, 66.6% chance that we will not...

Why 66.6%?

Well because I think we can say that either the fans buyout or Balram Chainrai will prevent liquidation, and there must be a 33.3% chance of either happening, hence the overall 66.6% feeling with the remaining 33.3% (yep I know we are .3333 down, but you get the point) that we are liquidated...

The views of Trevor Birch for me in The News today, when talking about Appy, tend to suggest that a 'long-term future' is something he feels we will have, right?

If not, then why claim that Appy is 'here for the long term' amidst speculation linking him to West Brom: 'we want Michael here, absolutely. Hopefully, Michael is here for the long term.

'I met with him yesterday morning and there was nothing mentioned about West Brom. As far as I'm concerned, Michael will be staying as Portsmouth manager.

'There has been no approach and we wouldn't welcome one. He is the future of the club. The future of Portsmouth is in the hands of Michael.'

One day it is 50:50 that the club will even survive yet today TB is saying that Appy is the long-term future for PFC, so he must be pretty sure that we have this!?

Fans buyout NEEDS your pledges!!

For the proposed fans buyout to move forward we have today been told that a further 1,000 pledges need to be made in the next 14-days or so.

With that amount, or so, coming in the opening couple of weeks of this proposed takeover then in theory this is possible but it is vital that anyone wanting to do this now does it now!

There is no more time for waiting, put down your initial £100 and at least see if it is a viable option, if not you pull out and just lose £2.50...

No excuse for fans not to sign up now, the mythical white knight hasn't ridden in, it's time to sh** or get off the pot for those that can scrape the money together.

Birch is hardly going to say anything other than hands off re Appy and WBA.

For Pompey long term means tomorrow!! And yes put up or shut up time - I have already put up.
eastneydave
yes I've already put my money up as well, and if anyone out there is dithering - its now or never! As for dithering, sometimes I feel confident that our club does have a future, and sometimes I really do wonder . . . We must believe!

Suspect Birch is playing hardball so that WBA will have to stump up a decent compo wedge should Appy go back to the Hawthorns......Appy is also a comodity in the same way as the players !!
