Happy Birthday to Alexei Smertin, did us proud in midfield. As for the games, was there in 1999 at Crewe, last game of the season, got tickets just in case we needed to win to stay up, but midweek results meant we survived, but we still went & watched an awful game. Home games in 2004 & 2010 in the prem. Most damaging day was away at Sunderland in 1993. I was at a wedding & kept disappearing to listen on the car radio. The defeat killed our automatic promotion hopes & Paul Walsh sent off who then missed the play off games.

Leicester, Chester and Wolves - 1971 Leicester clinched promotion and I think Rodney Fern scored both - I remember a very large contingent of Foxes singing - he's here, he's there, he's even lost his hair Rodney Fern, Rodnet Fern - now that is my very sad memory!

Also a black day as in 1976, a certain blind linesman at Wembley allowed a Pompey born chap, to score a certain goal for a certain team not to far from us, win the only thing in their history.
