Down but not out and STILL South Coast Kings!

We're all going on a league one tour,

So, relegation has been confirmed and Scum's promotion to 'the promised land' is all but confirmed too - at least they CANNOT go up as champions though as we did when we went up around a decade ago!

Yep, we may well be facing the prospect of (if they go up) going to the likes of Plainmoor (Torquay) on a miserable Easter weekend - when it should be a glorious spring day! - and (if they also go up) Roots Hall (Southend) on a bitterly cold Friday night!

Trips to Shrewsbury, Colchester and a derby with Bournemouth also await us...

And what times these will be eh - I cannot wait!

Whereas Scum will be off to The Emirates, Etihad Stadium, Old Trafford, Anfield et al but in all honesty I really do know where I would sooner be going, and it is not to the likes of these clubs I can tell you!

Of course I did not want us to go down but so long as we can live on as a club league one, or even league two or non-league holds no fears for me. Hopefully as this club looks to heel its wounds we can enjoy 'proper football' again at real, and not plastic, clubs!

Whatever though, no matter how 'high' The Scummers may go, and how 'low' we do at least we retain the mantle of 'South Coast Kings...'

Yes the League One tour starts here - roll up roll up!! Of course that might change if liquidated.

Ummmm. Having spent many of my early yaers following Pompey in the lower leagues during the late 70s & early 80s. I can't say I'm that excited about being there again. However, I will be very grateful to still have a club & avoid liquidation.

I would share Matt's sentiments. I supported us in the fourth division, and everywhere between that and where we are now. I can recall the deacon days and the fa cup final, and I have to say that I am sorry to see us drop to league one. That said, I will continue to love my club, call the players heroes and legends, and laugh, cry and hopefully celebrate promotion again. I am realistic enough to be honest and admit that the quality of football I watch is relevant, and we see better football in the higher leagues, I will not pretend that there is a benefit to relegation other than maybe persuading some mercenaries like tbh to leave, but I a still a real fan who enjoys real football, and most of all I am POMPEY TILLL I DIE
