Funny how some days all games are away and others at home. This has loads for me - starting back in 69 with Norwich and four for Ray Hiron, then Swindon, Leyton Orient, Notts Co, Crewe Alex, Reading, Arsenal, Newcastle and Coventry. Phew that makes nine!

Memories well Arsenal sticks out as part of the Great Excape and Lua Lua injuring his ankle in his goal celebration and Ray's four against Norwich of course!

With you most of the way Dave. First game is Crewe in 1980, a certain Bruce Grobaaler in goal, I think? Stood in the old Fratton End, right behind the goal as a 13 year old. Had square eyes after the match, never stood there again. Other homes games included Derby in 1993 as we pushed for promotion. Tranmere in 1997. Sheff Wed in 2003, a win against the bottom club would have seen us get promotion but of course we didn't read the script, so we had to wait a few more days to party. A vital home against Brum in 2004 as we crawled away from the relegation spots. A great draw with the mighty Arsenal in 2006 & a home draw with Geordies in 2008 just after our cup semi victory. Quite an eventful day.

Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.

Liverpool goalie keen on Pompey return

Will he get this chance though? I think we could quite safely say he'll not be in the Liverpool 1st team next season and Pompey want a goalie so could this be Ryan Fulton...
