Maguire stays!

Some good news for Pompey today, Chris Maguire's loan from Derby has been extended until the end of the season.

I had feared Derby might want him back, but to be honest those fears soon passed with the more you read, especially from his Derby manager Nigel Clough.

It would appear that it was always a loan until the end of the season but the football league had to approve it on a month-by-month basis?

Anyway, we now know we have him until the end of the season!

With his help - bar the meeting with his parent club Derby in our penultimate game - 'hopefully' he can help inspire us to the greatest of great escapes...

He will run and run for the cause and that is all we can ask!! Like to see him as a permanent signing in the future but that is unlikely sadly. Some good news though eh!
