Pompey predictions league update #35

Pompey predictions league update #35

The Pompey predictions league continued at the weekend with Pompey welcoming Bristol City to Fratton.

A rarity these days, Pompey were not beaten although not such a rarity was a failure to score! Although I do not think that many of us could fault the showing, it was just a real shame that a couple of the really good chances we had could not be put away.

Not many picked up any points but one that did, with 14pts for correctly predicting a 0-0 draw, was PompNut to move back up the table into 3rd overall.

Nothing for PompeyFrippy but he still retains top spot for a 35th game running on 128pts overall.

This is how the table, of 59 at present, currently stands:

There is still a lot to play for in this game with a lot of matches left to play!

Remember anyone can enter at any time so just because you missed out on predicting for the last game Bristol City it is not too late, simply joining for the next league game against Birmingham at Fratton in midweek and then at Coventry at the weekend to follow.

I have made it even easier for you to get involved by putting the forum links for these games below...

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
