On his way Ings?

On his way Ings?

As I can see it there is absolutely no basis to the news but The Star 'claims' that Danny Ings is coming to Pompey on loan from Burnley.

Quite simply the 'snippet' says: PORTSMOUTH are set to signing striker Danny Ings on a one month loan from Burnley.

So, no quotes no 'sources say' or anything just a few words that the striker is on his way...

If nothing else this is a semi positive bit of news so it makes a change to be able to write something like this, even if it might not happen?

Appy said that he had one, if not two, players lined up for loan deals but we might have had to wait until this week to do them - we managed Chris Maguire last week so maybe Ings is the other for this week.

I think that the former Bournemouth man had been out through injury this season not long after joining Burnley so if they want us to give him some games to build up his match fitness again then I cannot say that I would be unhappy for us to oblige as he certainly knows where the goal is!

We have to be careful becasue of the five player loan rule. Ings is a promising Kid though, not 20 until next week, and made a great impct at AFCB.

Yes, very much as Dave has said, did well at Bournemouth & Eddie Howe took him up north. No doubt he won't play at the end of the month we play Burnley.

well i just cant wait to get to Fratton this weekend and see David James in goal, not because he was our man but he was in goal when pedro banged in the goals that started the great escape 1, and history will repeat itself..here we go...survival and new owner just around the corner, saint to miss out in the playoffs and lose at the new Dell to us in a couple of weeks...Winds of Change are blowing. As for Ings...a good lad I think whilst at AFCB

LOL, bit early for the scrumpy isn't it Graham? Hope you are right mate because I am looking forward to walking out of Fratton with the rosy glow of a win for a change. If there is a celestial being up there its not that much to ask is it?
