Last night on this site Chix made an impassioned plea to all fans to make absolutely sure they got a ticket and got along to the Middlesbrough game on Saturday.
Well despite that appeal from my fellow co-editor and the fact that the game COULD possibly be Pompey's last ever match at Fratton Park the club have just informed me that they have 6,000 left for tomorrow.
I have decided to use the Delia Smith approach from 2005 and wander on to the pitch in a drunken state, grab a microphone and ask quite incoherently 'WHERE ARE YA?'
There is no reason why there should be any tickets left for this game as all the fans web sites the Pompey trust, the 12th Man and the News have all stressed just how important it is that we, the fans, support Trevor Birch, the club`s Administrator and most importantly the team in their hour of desperate need.
What would any possible investor think if they were at the game tomorrow and saw rows of empty seats when the club is crying out for their help?
What will the football authorities think when TB is asking for help in any monetary form when it is obvious the so called 'best supporters in the land` cannot Pack the Park?
So sit down and ask yourself a couple of simple questions
• Am I a Pompey fan and do I want the club to survive?
• Am I free tomorrow afternoon?
• Can I afford £25 for a ticket? - if not take up Chix on his kind offer of yesterday!
Seats for the match - which kicks-off at 3pm - are priced £25 for adults, £20 for seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22) and £13 for juniors (under 17).
They can be bought online, by calling 0844 847 1898 (option one) or in person from the Frogmore Road ticket office.
The ticket office is closed on Saturday, but tickets can be bought from the ticket kiosks behind the Fratton End. The first of these will open at 9.30am.
Please note that the £2 admin charge for tickets bought on the day of the game has now been scrapped.
Tickets booked online or by phone after 3pm on Wednesday can be collected from the Frogmore Road ticket office (until 5pm this evening) or from the ticket kiosks.
Now make arrangements to get those tickets and take a friend just like I did last week - two friends actually) or I will have to send Delia round and she won`t be cooking you a meal!!
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

that said, when the truth of the matter is known we only have - and pretty much always have done - only 'really' had a hardcore amount of some 8000 or so havent we?
that is why, for me, in a roundabout way that the 5000 or so signed up for the 12th man site is kind of (if you get what i mean) in many ways a decent representation of the hardcore fan support... base the logic on how many turn up for the 'grand events' on the common and/or wants tickets for big games and how many usually go rain or shine and you come to my conclusion...
i have ALWAYS tried to defend those that cannot go, i appreciate that it is tough for a number of reasons but sometime you cannot defend things - this club is dying on its arse and if we cannot sell out we never will.
something to keep in mind is that some 7,000-8,000 of us there today are season ticket holders so we are putting NOTHING into the club today, whilst of course another 7,000-8,000 paying punters helps it is not enough, arguably 10,000 - which i cannot see us getting - on top isnt either, but it is a MUST for today...
last weekend was an awesome atmosphere and a decent turnout but lets not forget that leeds brought some 3,5000 of the 17,500 attendance, my worry is that boro will bring 1,000 tops, so the 2,000-2,500 shortfall on last week alone 'probably' will not be found so we will be looking at something like 15,000 today?
if that is all we get i will be gutted, you know what you could even see a grown man crying in fratton because that would (almost) confirm my worst fears that there 'probably' is no saving this club...
