Pompey predictions league update #30

Pompey predictions league update #30

The Pompey predictions league continued last weekend with Pompey starting the latest administration era with a trip to Barnsley.

A depleted squad was beaten 2-0 when we finally ran out of gas having played a large portion of the game with 10-men following Dave Kitson's sending off - and having a number of walking wounded involved and not enough subs to freshen things up...

A number of members, uspompeyfan, penton and usapompey, got maximum points - they each collected 14pts each for going with a 2-0 defeat.

PompeyFrippy predicted a defeat and collects a couple of points to retain top spot for a 30th game running on 110pts overall.

This is how the table, of 59 at present, currently stands:

Still all to play for though.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
