Well quite an eventful day & no doubt 2012 will be a rollercoaster day. Was there for the home games in 96 & that fantastic nite in 98 when FP roared & Claridge headed the winner. Watched the next 2 on tv. Our grudge match at Leicester in 2003 as the top 2 battled away. Fanatstic long range strike by Matt Taylor. Then a rather disjointed win at PNE in 2008 as our march in the cup continued, I wonder who we will get in the QF's?

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
