Having a connection to the Gregory family could be tough enough for any 'would be' Pompey owner and leave many a Pompey fan groaning, but having a connection to Martin Gregory, as 'potential buyer' Keith Gregory does, could make it even trickier for him.
That said you cannot tar everyone with the same brush can you...
Although I do not know if 'publicly stating an interest' in the club is something that a seriously interested buyer would do, would they?
Well this is what Keith Gregory, talking to The News today, has done: 'I spoke with Mr Andronikou yesterday and we are talking about meeting up this Thursday.
'That is how we have left it.
'I'm related to Martin Gregory, but I'm not prepared to go into the details about that now.'
All too often far too many 'tyre kickers' have been too vocal with their public views that they want to 'takeover Pompey', will Gregory be another of these?
Well time will tell, but in his defence he has not actually said that much.
The News have just taken a few apparent quotes and made up their own minds really haven't they...
Personally though I continue to have my doubts over what self-respecting, honest and genuine, businessman would see as a draw to owning Pompey?
Yep administration would reduce the latest debts built up but like I, and others, keep saying how on earth can we ever get onto an even footing with huge secured creditor debts to the likes of Balram Chainrai and Sacha Gaydamak?
Someone will have to pay these debts, of more than £20m, off once and for all to rid us off these guys that continue to strangle the life out of us!
Just who will have the means, and indeed the inclination, to do this?
We need rid off these parasites once and for all otherwise all we are ever going to do is continue to go round in circles like we are now.
Something, sorry to end on such a downer, to ponder though is that there is NO guarantee that our application for administration will even be granted later this week...
