*Portsmouth FC Under Investigation!*
Portsmouth Football club are under investigation by the English Premier League which could result in the club being fined.
Portsmouth unveiled their new home kit against Porto, which will be worn at home on Saturday against Blackburn.
Many fans where outraged having purchased the home kit a year before with a guarantee that it would be used for two years. With that kit now being out of date, many fans complained to the club and to the Premier League fair trading department.
The Premier League are now likely to fine Portsmouth. If you look at your Pompey shirt from last year and look at the authentic badge in the bottom left hand corner, you will see 2005-2007. The club say that this was a "mistake."

this was in the ST & NotW last weekend Les, it could be a mistake but personally i doubt it, dont you. The club seems to have got used to the premiership commercial methods quite quickly and the reality is we are in the long line of clubs that have done it. If i recall correctly if found guilty the club could be fined 20K, a very small dent in the comercial side profits. do you remember when the supermarkets started trading on a sundays, the small fine £1500 was worth it for £100,000 turnover. I guess its the same for the club.

Story was run in the Portsmouth News last week and they apparently face a fine of a whopping maximum of £5000.

no i didn't make it up and i'm not claiming it was my own cos otherwise i would have a big EXCLUSIVE there lol. They will make more money by doing this even if the fine is £5000

Didn't bother buying last seasons shirt cos I thought it looked shoddy anyway!

mate ive scrapped of the balti pie and the new shirt does not have a year marked on the authentic badge, (bootm right as you face it, its got a small pompey crest, tells me its authentic replica and says JAKO, its go a date marked on the front but i dont think i spent 40 quid on the shirt for 1856. Its got 100% polyester, and wash at 40* and ermm oh dear XL !!! but nope no date.

can still buy last seasons shirt for a tenner. you get £15 pound off of the new shirt if you take last seasons with you as proof of purchase. hmm could this be a two for less than the price of one opportunity.

Yeap I bought my shirt but I wasn't happy doing it last summer. I was sad to see the Ty shirt go, but out with old & in with new I thought. To be honest I wasn't that impressed, awful shape around the neck, tacky sponsers logo but heart ruled wallet & it does say for 2 seasons. I understand the club will give me a £15.00 discount off the new strip!!!

The FA want to take the shirts off our back. As for the TY, glad that one has gone - only suitable for babies. My Bangkok one was only a few bob but not authentic. Sorry for those who have spent loads though...

I think the new shirts look better than last year's - they're more symmetrical now - but shame if you paid big money for last year's version....
