'If It's Football, It's Vital'

China calling?

Could Aaron Mokoena be off to China?

According to The Mail yes...

They 'claim' the following: 'Portsmouth defender Aaron Mokoena, 31, is the latest English-based player to be targeted by Chinese clubs.

'Mokoena, capped 107 times by South Africa, is wanted by Dalian Shide, who last week signed former Middlesbrough midfielder Fabio Rochemback and have shown interest in Chelsea`s Didier Drogba.
'

Is the Chinese transfer window still open though, if it is like the Russian one then a deal would be possible...

As much as his footballing ability can seriously be questioned you have to say that 'in a fight' when you are in a 'backs to the wall' position Moko is the type of guy you want around.

Problem is he is one of the 'premier legacy' so is getting paid way beyond his worth, and more importantly way beyond our means!

An all-round nice guy but if there is any chance, and any way, of this being true then as much as we are stretched he would certainly be one we should be looking to part with if possible...

Then again if ownership is not sorted out, or HMRC at least paid, then February 20th could prove to be the end anyway!

I hope this rumour is true and a few can be gotten, I've met him a few times and he's a great guy but not worth the money as a footballer got sure.

Lets hope this rumour is true. I'm sure he's a great guy, but he's been disappointing for a long time football wise, and he's someone we can spare from the squad. We could also really really do with sparing his wages, and then there's a transfer fee? Dare we hope it would be enough to pay the tax bill?
