In a day and age where 'loyalty' is a word that has little place in football today has proven (I think) just how much of this there is at Portsmouth Football Club!
Players, not forgetting the staff, have NOT been paid yet instead of jumping ship, when they easily could have, they have refused point blank to leave the good ship PFC!
Whatever Appy has been saying to the players in the short time that he has been here it has bloody well worked.
I have said, quite a few times, that I think that Appy is the best thing to happen to this club in donkies years, and this is another example of it...
The sad thing is that one of the best things to happen has happened at one of the worst times in our history, so how long it will last is debatable, we quite literally might only have another few weeks of existence left?
We might be proper f****d but at least we are going down fighting and those that pull on the blue shirt are going to be doing this with pride and will fight on until the bitter end - if February 20th does prove to be the end - which is the Pompey way.
Although I think that we, as fans, also need to pat ourselves on the back as our loyalty and support has probably in some way, albeit a small way, helped sway the decision for them to 'tough it out' and see the job through...
Well done Appy, Jason Pearce, Joel Ward and Stephen Henderson, you are a credit to Portsmouth Football Club and I am even prouder to say that I support a club that has people like you at it!
It is a shame that Ryan Williams moved on but one out of 4 or 5 that could have is not bad is it, now we just have to sit it out and wait for our latest court date, which will prove to be our last unless our bill to HMRC is paid...
Some talk has already started about possible loan moves away by players with views to permanent transfers in the summer but surely having kept them today we will keep them until the end of the season, or as long as this club is in existence?

we either do have a 'masterplan' or we are going to go down fighting - like i said in the article i would sooner we went in a blaze of glory than a whimper, sod those that are 'owed money' and got us into this position in the first place, why flog whatever we can for whatever we can for their benefit...
if february 20th is to be our last, which it WILL if that tax bill is not settled and/or an owner found, then this is the way i would rather it went - i do not see it as a 'player revolt', i see it as loyalty being shown and rats STICKING with the sinking ship not abandoning it!
of course i do feel genuinely sorry for the 'normal working class' members of staff at PFC, they cannot afford to be without the money they should get so i just hope that the impacts on them are not too drastic...
