Williams moves on

Williams moves on

This one has been expected for the past 24-hours or so, and whilst not 'official' as in The Pompey Site official, enough is said to make it sure that Ryan Williams has moved on...

A contract, for 2-½-years, has been signed with Fulham to see the 18-year-olds Pompey stay end.

He has told sky sports: 'it's been a long few days actually, finding out whether or not I was going to be signing. But I've signed a two-and-a-half-year deal here so I'm really happy to be part of the club, it's a good club.

'It's such a big move coming to a Premiership club. It's just really for my footballing education and playing more games, playing for the reserves and stuff like that. It's just a big step forward for me.'

Good luck to the guy, if his cameos are anything to go by he has really good potential.

It is a shame that we have lost him and for so little, a 'reported' £500,000 at best, but hey ho what can you do...

Yep Chixy I thought 750k but he doesnt have the same ties as the say Ward or Pearce, best of luck. Assuming we can beat HM Gov today went about as well as can be expected I think.
