Putting it to bed!

Putting it to bed!

Stephen Henderson has moved to 'put to bed' the 'rumours' that he is leaving Pompey for Ipswich.

He has taken to Twitter to tweet: 'Putting this to bed now!I'm not going anywhere I'm very happy at portsmouth and look forward to hull sat!.

So, that is that one over with, right?

Further offers have been made for Jason Pearce but they have been rejected, again!

Still we await official confirmation on Ryan Williams and there is nothing about Joel Ward.

We are either literally letting this go down to the wire, and holding out for as much as we can get - as we should if that is our game plan - or are willing to hold out, hold onto players and go out in a blaze of glory...

To be honest with you if February 20th is going to see time called on Portsmouth Football Club I would sooner us take this 'blaze of glory' approach and go out fighting and with a bang as opposed to slip away in a cowardly whimper!

One month follows the other. What then? Quite agree, if a dog is crawling to the water bowl, why cut off it's legs and sell on the cheap as well.'

If we did go bust then these players would have no trouble finding employment. So if they do love the club as they say, sit it out for the next month or so and see what happens. Also I have nothing against them if they want security and would prefer a move now.

YEOVIL (EFL Trophy) PREVIEW

It's EFL Trophy time! Or as it used to be known, the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The new look cup competition, which has widely received criticism, will feature all 48 sides from League One and

EFL Trophy - Matchday One 30-08-16

The revamped (if that's a good thing is open to personal opinion) EFL Trophy gets underway this midweek with the first group matches played.

A competition 'not high on list of priorities'

I dare say Cook's views on the Football League Trophy, EFL Trophy, Checkatrade Trophy or whatever the hell it goes by this season a large number share! We'll start at Yeovil tonight.

Pompey MotM at Exeter...EFL Trophy at Yeovil

The Pompey MotM from the 1-0 win at Exeter, which was (in my mind) a pretty dour game (the main thing is we won though), was a tough call to make but I'll go along with the top two.
