'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Putting it to bed!

Stephen Henderson has moved to 'put to bed' the 'rumours' that he is leaving Pompey for Ipswich.

He has taken to Twitter to tweet: 'Putting this to bed now!I'm not going anywhere I'm very happy at portsmouth and look forward to hull sat!.

So, that is that one over with, right?

Further offers have been made for Jason Pearce but they have been rejected, again!

Still we await official confirmation on Ryan Williams and there is nothing about Joel Ward.

We are either literally letting this go down to the wire, and holding out for as much as we can get - as we should if that is our game plan - or are willing to hold out, hold onto players and go out in a blaze of glory...

To be honest with you if February 20th is going to see time called on Portsmouth Football Club I would sooner us take this 'blaze of glory' approach and go out fighting and with a bang as opposed to slip away in a cowardly whimper!

... Keep our players and announce a new buyer at the 11th hour of the WUH .. that's how this will be played out ... I hope ! ... As it stands 6 hours to go and nobody has left ... yet ...

One month follows the other. What then? Quite agree, if a dog is crawling to the water bowl, why cut off it's legs and sell on the cheap as well.'

.. sorry shut at 2300 hrs .. my mistake .. Five hours to go ...

I just hate it. If it was too some decent club maybe but bl00dy Ipswich!!!

Four and three quarters

If we did go bust then these players would have no trouble finding employment. So if they do love the club as they say, sit it out for the next month or so and see what happens. Also I have nothing against them if they want security and would prefer a move now.

This is a quote of Howard Frost on the news live -We've heard from a very good source that there is definite interest in the keeper BUT he will have the final say over any potential move and he is desperate to stay at Pompey because of all the support he has had from fans Tuesday January 31, 2012 19:19 19:21 So, to confirm, there is no new bids for Pearce, Henderson is determined to stay, while there is no an unconfirmed report that Ward has turned down a move to Ipswich What stars-we have called for players that care, in this mercanary modern football world where we have had enough fro for anyones share...superb BC tweet about the tranfer clock ticking is great too and possibly confirms the players refusing to leave

Phew! Whilst I appreciate the need to pay off HMRC, to do so by selling these players, with our slender squad and no chance of bringing anyone in, would be suicidal in terms of the league. In terms of the financial situation it would be putting a plaster on an amputated leg. How would we pay February and March's tax bill? There has to be a long term solution, or not at all. Shame we couldn't sell Ben Haim, Mokoena andor Kitson though! Its also heartening to hear these guys pledge themselves to the club!

Balram Chanrai @BalramChanrai Transfer deadline day, tick tock goes the clock. Oh no it doesn't, it taken down as not working. #Pompey #PFC Retweeted by Neil Allen

Totally agree with tracyc. AA & BC need to do a lot more to keep us alive. Still can't see BC letting us go under.

Well done players! maybe the manager has their loyalty as he has ours! we stand firm and Ip**** et al can go somewhere else. Mattock not coming and that is a reality check for me, but it isn't terminal if the players play like they did Saturday. If this is the last hurrah, then so be it.
