More woe - PFC bank account frozen

More woe - PFC bank account frozen

The bank account for Pompey has been frozen; this will mean that the monies due to staff and players etc. will not be paid on time...

Although, as a statement on The Pompey Site stated, the club are confident that the account will be 'reactivated by the end of the week' with it said to be a 'normal process in the wake of a winding-up petition.'

The statement said: 'further to our recent update that a winding-up petition has been issued and publicised to Portsmouth Football Club, the club's bank accounts have been frozen, which is the normal process in these circumstances.

'The club is now seeking a validation order from the court in order to have its bank accounts unfrozen so that staff wages and suppliers can be paid.

'This is expected to take a few days and once obtained this will allow our bank accounts to be reactivated.

'Based on our current information we expect this process to be completed by the end of the week and would like to thank all our staff, fans and suppliers for their ongoing support.'

That's game and set 1 HMRC. Set 2 begins now (getting accounts unfrozen) can we break back or will it be game, set and match?

Why can't they freeze the assets of those who put us in this position? I have just exhausted myself writing PLAY UP POMPEY in very deep snow (by walking through it) in the centre of Helsinki... I could say it was a protest...or I could say I just fancied making our mark! Lemmi filmed it- Pics to follow...

I think we should refuse to sell Pearcey and Joel. If we're going down, (not relegation) lets do it with a decent team and players. We've waited a long time for players like Jason, I do not want us to sell him! Espech to Vultures like Ipswich - who will get too much of a bargain! Sod off HMRC.
