Watford bid for Ward and Pearce fails

Yesterday we were told that it was Ipswich that wanted both Joel Ward and Jason Pearce.

Today it is Watford, who have had a double bid rejected, according to what sky sports 'understands'...

Given Ian Woan is the assistant manager at Watford and would know both, certainly Ward, you could understand a little more why there is an interest from them.

By all accounts a 'formal offer' was made for the pair so a genuine interest was there, and was rejected.

If it is at all possible keeping both is something that is in the best interests of PFC, so it is hoped that we can.

Should Watford return with an improved offer though would we 'be tempted to cash in?'

For now at least they remain Pompey players, as I am sure - like I said yesterday - they would prefer to be the case anyway...

Their value should only increase and their wages should be relatively low compared to others so keep em

Whoever the bid may have come from, very relieved to hear its a 'no'. Its sad enough Herman having gone, these 2 going would be devastating!
