'If It's Football, It's Vital'

What will 2012 bring us?

With 2012 now upon us whilst it might seem 'obvious' what would you most want it to bring us?

Like I say it is quite obvious for most but not necessarily all...

That long awaited 'stability' to give us a sustainable 'long-term future' is something that I know that I have longed for - as I have said several times as much as I want this I continue to struggle to understand what a potential 'genuine' owner would see in Portsmouth Football Club, but never say never!

It would 'seem' that another new owner may well not be too far away though?

'If' these owners could turn our to be that Italian family recently 'linked' with us I would be quietly optimistic about our future as they seem to be that genuine football owner we could do with - knowing our luck though, if it was them, they would turn out to have some connection with the Mafia anyway!

Whilst some seem to think that I embrace the idea of Pompey being liquidated - and I do not! - so we can 'start again' at times this does seem as though it is the only answer.

Admittedly there is some appeal to this, we start afresh with a clean slate with people involved with Pompey genuinely at heart and get to visit a shed load of grounds we otherwise would not have and in the 'fairytale' scenario we climb through the leagues and rise like the phoenix from the flames!

So, like I say, it has some appeal but ONLY as the last resort for me, but to others this has a real appeal for sure...

The Pompey Supporters Trust is looking into a means of having some input into the club and there is also the 'Community Club' idea being floated about.

Just a few thoughts for you to ponder but what is it that YOU most long for out of 2012 for Pompey?

Simple- I want straight owners with 'real' funds and long term vision! And experience in this field of business! No 'amateurs' please!

I pretty much want the same as you an Owner that is not involved in dogy dealings that will propell Pompey into a secure future, oh and Championship safety with scum losing out on promotion

Like everyone else a new owner sooner rather than later is essential. We also need the FL to do their job with regards to the FPPT and ensure that any new owners are legitimate, have funds to buy club and the right sporting intentions. The rest is up to the players and manager supported by the clubs fantastic support.
