Well there is only one date that counts on that list and that is OF COURSE 1988 and yes I was there!! Unable to get a Pompey ticket I managed to get hold of one for the home end. That was sparsely populated and I saw more that one face that I recogised.

Just for the record you can add the home games of Tranmere Rovers, Birmingham City and Hull City!

Also add birthday wishes to John Milkins player I saw on many occasions and Angelo Basinas a player sadly in my opinion we saw far too little of.

Ahhh yes Dave me too, there at the skip in 1988 as beat the scum for the first time in my Pompey time as going fan. Fanatstic day, police everywhere & local tv didn't have any cameras there. They were afraid it may incite trouble. Another memorable date on a personal level, the awful cup game in 2009, my first game with my daughter & we had photo in our seats which is right by me as I type this, gulp.

Good luck Ben!

In an ideal world Davies would have agreed a new deal and stayed with Pompey next season but Grimsby have been able to offer him the stability of a two-year deal we couldn't.

Versatile former Arsenal man in on trial?

Deacon, who started out with Arsenal has been with Stevenage and Crawley with the latter releasing him at the end of last season. Cookie will 'run the rule' over him in pre-season?
